My passion is helping aspiring authors just like you write a book that inspires, informs, and instructs—so that you can make a greater impact with the people you serve.
I can help you plan, write, edit, and pitch your book, as I have for dozens of other books throughout the years. You can view a sample of my work on my portfolio.
Here’s how.
You are an expert in your area - you have incredible insights and knowledge that you know could benefit the broader world. But you're not a writer, and you don't have the time or energy to devote to learning how to write great books. As a ghostwriter, I partner with professionals to help them create informative and engaging prescriptive nonfiction books for a broad readership. My ghostwriting clients have included professionals in education, law, and the health professions.
You’ve done the hard work of writing a book, and now you know it needs to be edited. Your first step is a manuscript review, a high-level read of your book to analyze structure, identify gaps in content, and assess the strengths and weaknesses of your book. You’ll receive an in-depth report (usually 10-15 pages for a 50,000 word manuscript), along with comments on the manuscript, to advise you on next steps to improve your book.
Once you’ve made any global changes, the next step is a developmental edit. My role here is to represent your reader and provide line edits to enhance the clarity, concision, consistency, and cohesion of your writing. This is a much more thorough edit of the manuscript and includes two passes.
As an acquisitions editor for several years, I evaluated proposals for publication and successfully signed dozens of authors. I know from personal experience what will catch an agent’s or editor’s eye, and how to put your best pitch forward. I’m available to edit your book proposal or ghostwrite it for you. My clients’ proposals have been accepted by Big 5 publishers, independent presses, and literary agents.
